About

Welcome to Unmatched and Unemployed Doctors of America. This organization is staffed by volunteer doctors that represent the interests of 6,570 doctors that went unmatched in March of 2020. This organization provides mentorship to unmatched doctors and is pushing for legislative change that would increase the number of residency positions. We have meetings biweekly to discuss these topics. We have previously come together during an Unmatched Doctor’s Summit in Washington, DC (https://youtu.be/vMGmuJOLSTY). Our mission is to help every U.S. citizen and lawful permanent resident previously unmatched doctor find the training they deserve to get their life back on track. Going unmatched takes a toll on you financially, mentally and physically and we are against this unjust hardship for these very intelligent and courageous American individuals that continue to fight despite insurmountable odds. We are organizing so that the medical establishment, government and general public will mobilize to help us since this issue is such a waste of very talented American minds and is doing a disservice to the citizens of this great country who need more healthcare providers.

We call on AAMC to end our repression and acknowledge our existence
We call on ECFMG, who have certified many well-qualified doctors, but offer no further support.
We call on the government to increase residency training positions and provide oversight on the matching process.
We call on the public to aid us in this effort so that we can get back to doing what we have been trained to do.
We call on the VA to assure that all of the above are in compliance with USC Title 5.

We want to work in primary care and take care of the health of underserved Americans, but we need your help to get there. Please email UAUDOA@gmail.com if you are interested in getting involved.

What The Experts Are Saying

Hospitals need to realize that there are people in my position who could show up to work in the next hour if we’re called.

Dr. Faarina Khan

Medical education is expensive – both in real dollars and forgone opportunities. When doctors are unemployed, it represents a real waste of time, financial resources, and talent.

Dr. Brian Carmody

There is No Doctor Shortage in the U.S.; There is a Shortage of Opportunities for U.S. Doctors
